Hermes

A blog about writing and traveling, for me, must include some tribute to Hermes.  I started doing dedicant work with Hermes this spring and it has paid off.  My ability to discipline myself to daily writing has improved.  My opportunities for travel have fallen in my lap despite being someone who scrapes together an income.

Hermes is a Greek God that carries messages for the Gods and can travel to and from the Underworld.  Hermes is the God of travel, writing, communication, wealth and commerce, and is credited with inventing fire.

Hail Hermes.  Thank you for blessing my journeys both within and abroad as I travel.  May my writing inspire others.  May I always offer kindness to a weary traveler.
